These terms govern your use of brownwaterbanter.com, the Brown Water Banter mobile apps, our email newsletter, and our SMS bait-availability program, all operated by Brown Water LLC.
By using any of them, you agree to these terms.
SMS program terms
Brown Water Banter operates an SMS program for participating Mississippi Gulf Coast bait shops.
What you get: Messages asking what live bait your shop currently has in stock, sent Friday and Saturday mornings — approximately 8 messages per month.
Cost: We charge nothing. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
How to opt in: Verbal consent given directly to Brown Water Banter by the shop owner or an authorized employee.
How to opt out: Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation, then no further messages. Reply START to rejoin.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Publication: By participating, you agree that your shop’s name and reported bait availability may be displayed publicly on our website and apps. Your phone number is not published.
Accuracy of information
The conditions panel, tide data, size and bag limits, tournament listings, and bait availability on this site and in our apps are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current.
Verify catch limits with the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources before keeping any fish. Our limits screen shows recreational size and bag limits only — not seasons, licensing requirements, gear rules, area closures, or species-specific prohibitions.
Verify tournament dates and entry deadlines with the organizer before making plans.
Bait availability reflects what a shop reported at the time it replied. Stock changes. Call ahead.
Weather, tide, and sea-state information is sourced from NOAA and the National Weather Service. Do not rely on it for navigation or safety decisions.
